How to ensure Windows is updated

It is possible that an error you are experiencing with your operating system and/or DirectX may be fixed in a more recent version of Windows.

To check for Windows updates: 

1. Click the Windows Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
2. Click the Settings gear icon.
3. Click Updates & Security.
4. Click “Check for Updates”.
